Bobcor Trading commenced business in 2002 as an associate company in the Air Supreme Group. We import & supply Pneumatic Paving Breakers, Chipping Hammers, Rock Drills (Jackhammers) & a full range of Accessories that compliment these products.
Our business is largely aimed at Hire Companies, Contractors, Resellers & Repair Shops. While we do supply certain end users by special arrangement we do not offer a walk in service.
We are a small yet dynamic, well focused company with good experienced people, modern systems, a well-stocked professionally run warehouse & operate an ethical business with the focus on quality products, honest professional service & advice & excellent value for money pricing.
A Brief History
For 11 years we shared premises & enjoyed the back office & warehousing support of Air Supreme, a well-established company of long standing specialising in the Compressed Air needs of small & medium sized industry as well as for the Compressor Repair & Service sector.
Mr Henry King, a former Sales Manager of Air Supreme & a well-respected figure in both the Construction & Mining as well as the Air Compressor sectors firmly established Bobcor Trading as a recognised & respected supplier of construction & mining tools upon his retirement from Air Supreme when he was appointed to lead Bobcor trading in 2007.
Air Supreme was sold by the Baker Family to a large JSE listed company in 2013 & Bobcor remained as a stand-alone entity still owed by the Bakers where we continued to grow & maintain our high level of service & expertise under the enthusiastic leadership of Henry King. Bob & Coral Baker continue to provide the back office services in the admin, finance & importing aspects of Bobcor Trading.
The sale of Air Supreme was not the success that was intended & in 2016 it was closed down by the company that had purchased it. This left certain key people & products stranded. Bobcor took on Des Elliott who has many years’ experience in the Compressed Air field with Air Supreme as well as with other well established compressor companies.
With Des on board we elected to expand our product offering. We have since concentrated our efforts on filling one of the gaps left due to the closure of Air Supreme. We now service the maintenance needs of customers requiring spare parts, replacement pumps & accessories for the Solid Air & Ingersoll Rand Type 30 air compressors in the Southern African market. These products were formally sold & serviced by Air Supreme.
Shane King, the son of Henry King joined the company in 2010 as Technical manager. Shane has had many years of experience as a mechanical fitter with diesel, compressor & rock drill experience & has quickly earned the respect of our broad customer base in giving advice, training & telephonic support as & when needed while also overseeing the repair facility in Kibler Park where we repair customers tools & conduct training of customers personnel who elect to repair products themselves.
